The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) knows that going to a local hotel looks and feels a little different than it used to – for you and your patrons.

Queensland hotels have all been playing a role in ensuring our state stays on track during stage 3, both economically and in helping to stop the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

OLGR recognises your hard work and understands how challenging it has been to navigate through the evolving rules and restrictions put in place by the Queensland Government for licensed venues. But also, the task of communicating the importance of the rules with your patrons and ensuring they do their part too.

To support licensees in guiding patrons to understand the rules and restrictions, OLGR has created a positive social media campaign to, ‘Spread the word, not the virus’.

Posts started rolling out late last week on the OLGR Facebook page.

Topics include:

  • Checklists and plans
  • Physical distancing
  • Patron limits and waiting in lines
  • No dancing
  • Right to refuse
  • Contact details
