CURRENT RESTRICTIONS IN QUEENSLAND FROM 4PM THIS FRIDAY, 20 AUGUST: 

TRADING CONDITIONS FOR 11 x LGA’s SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND

For venues in the 11 LGA’s (Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan City, Moreton Bay, Redlands, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Gold Coast).

The existing trading restrictions have been continued for another week, until 4pm Friday 27 August, (with the exception of an increase to ticketed and allocated seating capacity to 75% and outdoor mask wearing with 1.5m distancing):

  • All indoor spaces are allowed 1 person per 4 square metres or 75 per cent capacity with ticketed and allocated seating.
  • Outdoor areas are allowed 1 person per 2 square metres.
  • Mask wearing is required indoors (including workplaces - unless you can stay 1.5m apart from other people).
  • Mask wearing is required outdoors unless you can stay 1.5m apart from other people.
  • Patrons must be seated while eating and drinking.
  • No dancing except at weddings.
  • Self-service buffets can continue to operate in all businesses.

 

TRADING CONDITIONS FOR CAIRNS, YARRABAH AND THE REST OF QUEENSLAND

From 4pm Friday 20 August, Cairns and Yarrabah will have trading conditions the same as the Rest of Queensland.

  • All indoor spaces are allowed 1 person per 2 square metres or 100 per cent capacity with ticketed and allocated seating.
  • Outdoor areas can have an unlimited number of people.
  • Mask wearing is not mandatory but encouraged.
  • Patrons can stand while eating and drinking.
  • Dancing is allowed indoors at 1 person per 2 square metres, and outdoors with an unlimited number of people.
  • Self-service buffets can continue to operate in all businesses.
