Dear Members and Partners,
Firstly, thank you all for your continued support and congratulations to those who opened their doors to commence limited STAGE 1 trading – the professional and safe manner in which you served your communities was exemplary. It demonstrates how hotels and hospitality businesses can trade safely and should be allowed to provide more products and services to greater numbers of people within our communities. Secondly, please be assured we are continuing to work closely with Government Departments and Queensland’s Chief Health Officer regarding the trading conditions for STAGE 2 trading from Saturday 13 June. The QHA has submitted to government our INDUSTRY COVID SAFE Plan which, once approved, will underpin the ability for you to re-open with greater patron numbers for STAGE 2. We are also seeking the approval for you to utilise separate areas within your venues’ and offer other products in addition to dining. The QHA will provide members with all the necessary information and template documents to assist you to maximise your trading opportunities for STAGE 2.
Lastly, I look forward to updating you as soon as possible to provide certainty and clarity for your business re-opening planning. You will also see this E-Update edition features a range of support offers from our valued QHA Partners.
