Few menu items inspire quite as much passion as a great steak sandwich. It’s the pub classic, the post-work favourite, the weekend lunch go-to and the subject of countless debates over who does it best.
From juicy cuts of beef piled between toasted bread to loaded creations with caramelised onions, beetroot, sauce, salad and all the extras, Queensland venues are proving there’s no one way to build the perfect sanga.
Now, the debate is officially on.
Following a statewide call for nominations, 43 venues have been selected across Queensland and thrown their steak sandwiches into the ring for the inaugural Queensland’s Best Steak Sandwich Competition, in partnership with Beef Australia, and proudly supported by Great Northern Brewing Co., PFD Food Services and McCain Foods.
