TAB, MAX and SKY are proud to once again present the Australasian Hospitality & Gaming Expo. This is one of the most important events of the year on the industry calendar, and we cannot wait to see what’s instore from all this year exhibitors. The NextGen TAB self-service terminals will be on display at stand #159, with guided demonstrations available. You’ll also be able grab your own bespoke TAB merch while you’re there.

MINORS BETTING OBLIGATIONS
This is a good reminder for all of us to stay extra alert and make sure we’re following the steps that keep minors away from gambling. Your awareness on the floor really does make all the difference.

Key Reminders
Minors are not allowed to gamble, and it is a serious offence to sell a bet to a minor. Minor-related offences carry severe consequences including substantial fines and reputational damage to both you and Tabcorp. They may also result in suspension or termination.
- A few simple key actions go a long way:
- Check ID for anyone who looks 25 or under. If you’re unsure, just ask — most customers understand.
- If they can’t show ID, don’t let them place a bet.
- Ask early. It’s much easier to check ID before someone gets to the counter or the SST.
- Keep an eye on your SSTs and Operator Terminals. Busy times and machines near exits can be higher-risk, so quick glances or CCTV help you stay on top of things.
- Use the SST pause function if you see someone who might be underage and you haven’t had the chance to check their ID.
- Minors can only be in the TAB area with a parent or guardian, but even then, you need to make sure that they do not interact with any equipment or place any bets.
- If something doesn’t look right, or you think a minor may have tried to place a bet, contact SSC/Retail Support straight away.
