Alcoholics Anonymous wants to Cooperate with You

AA isn’t about policing behaviour or telling people not to drink, and it certainly doesn’t have an anti-alcohol stance. They simply offer a place where help is available if and when someone asks for it.

Alcoholics Anonymous wants to Cooperate with You.

Every hotelier has dealt with it: the regular who’s had one too many, the patron whose drinking is starting to affect staff, other customers, or their own wellbeing.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) isn’t about policing behaviour or telling people not to drink, and it certainly doesn’t have an anti-alcohol stance. We’re a free, confidential peer-support service for people who want help with their drinking. And being AA, anonymity is something we take seriously and do well.

When a patron is embarrassed after an incident, worried about their drinking, or asks “where can I get help?”, having a simple, non-judgmental option to point them toward can make a real difference. AA provides meetings across Queensland—face-to-face and online—where people can hear from others who’ve been there and found a way forward.

AA doesn’t track people, report back, or involve employers or venues. We simply offer a place where help is available if and when someone asks for it.

If you’d like discreet information cards for staff areas, or a short briefing on how AA can be a useful referral option, we’re happy to help.

We would also like to offer A4 sized posters suitable for bathrooms/back of toilet doors which can also be private and effective.

Alcoholics Anonymous – when someone’s ready to ask for help, we’re there.
