The next tender for hotel electronic gaming machine operating authorities in Queensland will open on Wednesday, 4 March 2026, and close at 4pm on Wednesday, 25 March 2026 (Australian Eastern Standard Time).
Minimum acceptable prices for authorities for sale across the three regions are:
– South East: $385,582
– Coastal: $152,290
– Western: $131,250
The number of authorities available per region is still TBC.
Licensees wishing to sell any authorities at the next tender must lodge an application to surrender their gaming machine licence OR decrease the number of gaming machines at their premises.
The forms you require can be found at:
– decreasing your approved number of gaming machines
– surrendering your gaming machine licence.
The form must be received by no later than Wednesday, 18 February 2026. Please email your completed application form to the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) at OLGRLicensing@justice.qld.gov.au.
