Previously known as the Australian Brewery, the brand is one of Sydney’s most longstanding craft breweries and was the first to use cans instead of bottles back in the day.

Eden Brewhouse opened in June 2020 as a cheerful tribute to the characters who moulded the Aussie spirit and our country’s passion for pubs. The venue shares its name with the first farm in the region, Eden Station, which was pioneered by British convict and the father of Redbank Plains, James Josey.
In 1840, James was convicted for robbing a wagon and sentenced to 15 years of penal servitude. He travelled on a convict ship named Eden and was sent to Moreton Bay in April 1841.
After serving out his sentence in Limestone (now known as Ipswich), James was involved in building houses before he purchased the land which would become known as Eden Station.
Alex said the story of this pioneer is reflected in the scratchboard illustrations ingrained in their brand identity and scattered throughout their venue.
“The traditional design of the venue is a nod to the public houses of British origin, while our selection of craft beers and rustic smokehouse dishes are inspired by the pioneering days of rural living and handcraftsmanship.
