Good morning
The closing date for the $1M Boosting Accessible Tourism Experiences grants has been extended to Thursday 31 August 2023, or until funding is fully awarded.
This will allow even more Queensland tourism businesses employing fewer than 20 employees to apply for projects that develop and/or enhance their tourism project or infrastructure.
Applications are assessed as they are received and we’re already seeing tourism operators benefiting from this grant to fund website accessibility upgrades, audio devices, beach wheelchairs and matting as well as accessible bathrooms and footpaths.
There have already been successful applicants awarded funding such as Fun Over Fifty who have were awarded funding to buy personal portable digital audio devices for guests to use on tour and to upgrade their website for accessibility.
