Annual liquor licence fees due soon

Annual liquor licence fee notices for 2025 are mailed to licensees in June and are due for payment by 31 July 2025. It is important that we have your correct contact details.

Please check and update your details, including your postal and email addresses, by logging in to the OLGR Client portal (https://secure.olgr.qld.gov.au/portal) by 10 June.

The portal is a secure online self-service system that allows you to:

  • pay annual liquor licence fees
  • view licence information and update contact details
  • view your applications
  • apply and pay for the following temporary changes to your licence:
    • extended trading hours (liquor and gaming)
    • change in licensed area (liquor)
    • variation of licence conditions (liquor)

If you are yet to activate your OLGR Client Portal account, you must register as a new user. You will need your 8-letter access key that was provided to you in your approval letter.

Alternatively, you can update your details by emailing our licensing branch at OLGRlicensing@justice.qld.gov.au.

It’s vital you pay your annual fee by the due date to avoid your licence being automatically suspended, as you will be then unable to sell liquor. If your fee remains unpaid for a further 28 days, your licence will be automatically cancelled.

Selling liquor with a suspended or cancelled licence will result in serious consequences such as a significant fine. Make sure you put this important date in your diary now to ensure it is not forgotten.

You may be eligible to pay your licence fee in instalments if you are suffering from personal or financial hardship or have been adversely affected by natural disaster. Payment by instalments is only available for annual fees over $1,000.

To check if you are eligible, visit www.business.qld.gov.au/liquor-gaming and search for ‘payment of liquor licence fees by instalments’. Applications to pay by instalments must be received by 10 July 2025.
