Harvest to Hospitality: Connecting Local Producers and Hospitality Professionals

Harvest to Hospitality: Connecting Local Producers and Hospitality Professionals

The Food and Agribusiness Network (FAN) and the City of Moreton Bay are delighted to announce Harvest to Hospitality, an exclusive event celebrating the connection between local producers and southeast Queensland’s hospitality industry.

This event offers a unique opportunity for hospitality leaders to explore the benefits of sourcing locally, network with producers, and gain fresh inspiration for their menus.

Guests will enjoy an afternoon tea featuring a curated grazing table crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Producers from Moreton Bay and across southeast Queensland will showcase their exceptional products, offering samples and insights into their production processes.

The event will provide hospitality professionals with a relaxed setting to connect with peers, producers, and industry leaders, fostering meaningful collaborations and highlighting the value of provenance.

Renowned chef and sustainability advocate Alastair McLeod will deliver a keynote address, sharing his passion for local sourcing and its transformative impact on menus and the dining experience: “The food a chef cooks should have a clear sense of seasonality and provenance. Get this snapshot; this essence right on the plate and, it will be the best food your customers have ever enjoyed. Only by connecting with your local agrarian heroes can this be achieved.”

Harvest to Hospitality is a celebration of southeast Queensland’s local food scene, focusing on quality, sustainability, and the economic benefits of supporting regional producers. The event aims to inspire attendees to prioritise local sourcing in their menus, with the broader goal of strengthening connections between the hospitality and agricultural sectors.
