Update on concessions for TSS & 457 Visa holders during the COVID-19 crisis - 4 April 2020, by Corina Chen
By way of media release on Saturday, 4 April 2020, the Australian Government announced the following concessions for TSS & 457 Visa holders during the COVID-19 crisis:
- Sponsored workers may access up to $10,000 of their superannuation this financial year.
- Sponsored workers who have been stood down, but not laid off, will maintain their visa validity.
- Employers may reduce the hours of sponsored workers without the visa holder being in breach of their visa condition.
The situation is being reviewed periodically and the Australian Government have advised that they will make further changes if required.
