As per previous QHA communications, members are reminded that today, 29 May 2020, is the date that the new HIGA version takes effect.

What this means is that the current version of the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2010 has been replaced with the Hospitality Industry (General) Award 2020.

Due to strong interest in HIGA 2020, the QHA’s Employment Relations Department has scheduled a second webinar on HIGA 2020 on Tuesday, 2 June from 3-4.30pm.

During the webinar, attendees will be provided with important information on the following:

  • Who the HIGA applies to
  • A brief overview of the main HIGA entitlements and conditions
  • What has changed in the 2020 version
As well as some answers to common HIGA award interpretation questions!

Attendees will also be provided with a template Memo to give employees to explain the change. This Memo is only available to registered attendees.

Registration Costs:

Cost per person:
$75 – financial QHA members
$135 – corporate members and QHA partners
