The guidelines and applications for the $110 million Tourism and Hospitality Sector Hardship Grants Program have opened this week.

Eligible businesses can apply for a grant under either the $80 million Tourism and Hospitality Sector Hardship Grants or the $30 million Major Tourism Experiences Hardship Grants

Tourism and Hospitality Sector Hardship Grants

The $80 million Tourism and Hospitality Sector Hardship Grant will provide funding to support eligible tourism and hospitality businesses and non-profit organisations to stay open and retain workers.

Grant support under this program increases in line with payroll size from $30,000 for small business, $50,000 for medium businesses, and $100,00 for large businesses. Approved grant funding will be paid in two equal instalments.

Importantly, entities that have applied for, or received, the COVID-19 Business Support Grant and/or COVID-19 Border Business Zone Hardship Grant can also apply for the Tourism and Hospitality Sector Hardship Grant, where eligible.

Major Tourism Experiences Hardship Grants

Guidelines for the Major Tourism Experiences Hardship Grants are also now available and the Department of Tourism are actively engaging with those businesses most likely to meet the minimum threshold requirements for the grant.

Applications for both programs are open until 6pm AEST, Monday 22 November 2021. Complete and submit your application through the QRIDA portal
