The QHA's 2022 Public Holidays Fact Sheet is now available to download. CLICK HERE to access it. The Fact Sheet is also available to download from the QHA website.

The Fact Sheet sets out the confirmed public holidays to be observed in Queensland in 2022.

Other regional show holiday dates can be found on the Queensland Government website HERE, however as at the date of this ER Bulletin, the 2022 regional show holidays have not yet been published.

QHA members should note that when Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day fall on a weekend there is an extra public holiday.  This year because Christmas Day and Boxing Day both fall on the weekend, Monday 27 December 2021 and Tuesday 28 December 2021 are also public holidays, resulting in 4 consecutive public holidays falling between Saturday 25 December 2021 to Tuesday 28 December 2021.  A copy of the QHA’s 2021 Public Holiday Fact Sheet can be downloaded HERE.

In 2022, New Year’s Day and Christmas Day both fall on the weekend.  This means that both Saturday 1 January 2022 and Monday 3 January 2022 will be public holidays and both Sunday 25 December 2022 and Tuesday 27 December 2022 will also be public holidays.
