Keno’s second national February Smart TV promotion was another success for venues, with customer participation increasing, as evidenced by a 16% growth in entries over last year.

The popular promo combined a national major prize with 500 (225 Gold and 275 Silver) in-venue prize promotions, all linking to an overarching theme of ‘TV and Entertainment’.

Almost 200 Queensland hotels purchased a Gold or Silver pack, providing them with a much-needed boost to sales following COVID trading restrictions.

Capricorn Hotel experienced the most significant increase in Keno sales of all Queensland hotels compared with the eight-week period prior to the promotion, while Diamonds Kallangur, Sands Tavern in Cleveland, and the Oxley Hotel also saw a big lift in ticket sales.

Other hotels to see Keno sales increase included Middlemount Hotel, Logan Village Hotel, Fitzy’s Loganholme, Commercial Hotel in Gatton, Emerald Maraboon Tavern and O’Shea’s Royal Hotel in Goondiwindi.

The promo, which ran from 31 January until 27 February, saw venues give away eight TV and Entertainment Packs, valued at $10,000 each.

Two winners were selected each week, with players needed to spend just $10 on any Keno product to enter, and then scan their ticket.
