This Update will be the last scheduled official QHA communication for 2020. I am certain there are very few members that have enjoyed this year with the uncertainty of both your personal and business health that appeared constantly. I trust there is a great pride and satisfaction with the team at the QHA in how they have responded to the needs of members this year. It has been some rapid learning and deploying of new regulations, methods of operating and dealing with multiple regulators.

As we come into the festive season and through summer 2021, I can only ask that members continue to pursue the excellent performance in keeping their venues COVID compliant. The COVID Safe plans and the contact tracing have been the activities that have allowed our industry to open and steadily grow. With increased trade in the next few months we cannot let this fail.

Please ensure that you are maintaining your contact tracing requirements, either electronically or with pen and paper is fine, and ensure that you are keeping these records for the required 56-day period.

I know you will all be looking forward to welcoming many patrons back to your venues this year, so I hope that in all the commotion of this busy period that you and all your staff get some time to sit back, relax and congratulate yourselves on surviving this year like no other. You deserve it!

Thank you all once again for trusting the QHA to represent you all this year and make sure you contact us throughout the festive season if we can be of assistance,

Bernie
