Hello from the Brisbane and Redlands Gambling Help Service Team.

We are please to announce that during July and August will be delivering our Gambling Venue Staff Training at five locations across Brisbane and Redlands.  Locations for the training will Kedron-Wavell Services Club, Jindalee Hotel, Wynnum Manly Leagues Club, Carina Leagues Club and QHA Training Centre in the CBD.

  • Gambling Help Service – What we do and how we can help
  • Identifying Behaviours and Signs of Problem Gambling
  • Increased Risk for Gambling Venue Staff – Risks and Protective factors
  • How to help the family members and support persons of a Problem Gambler
  • Available resources to assist staff.

Who should attend this training?

With new gaming audits now in place from the Office of Liquor and Gaming regulation it is important that Gaming Staff, Duty Managers, Venue Manager and owners develop a relationship with their local Gambling Help Service.  All are welcome to come and learn how to identify people with a poor relationship to gambling.

This training takes around 90 minutes to deliver and upon completion each staff member will receive a Certificate of Attendance

This training is not only for gaming staff but for duty managers and senior manager as well as Board Members.
