On Monday 7th February 2022, the Prime Minister made the long-awaited announcement that international borders to tourists will open Monday 21 February.

Currently, only Australian citizens, permanent residents and visitors from New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore can enter Queensland under certain visas and exemptions.

In accordance with current Queensland border regulations and the federal government's announcement, from February 21 international tourists will be able to enter our state without quarantining, provided they are fully vaccinated and provide a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test within 24 hours of entering Australia.
