Terminations 101
In the second webinar for the new Employment Relations series titled Back To Basics, Employment Relations Advisor Lyndsay Balch, will be discussing statutory and best practice principles central to termination of employment.
The webinar will be presented on Tuesday, 21 July between 9am and 10am Queensland time.
The session will explore:
- Potential grounds for ending employment, including performance, conduct, capacity and redundancy;
- The different termination-related claims employees may make and how to mitigate the risk of an adverse finding being made against the business (including best-practice based investigation and performance management processes), and;
- Notice and monetary entitlements on termination (i.e. final pay).
